Les Hartman Provides Voice For Television

After many years being behind the microphone at radio stations, Les Hartman has added television voice work to his list of "things to do" these days.  From his home studio Les will "cut" voice tracks for "The Roping Show with Tyler Magnus." He'll, in effect, be "the voice" of the show.  The show also features team roping highlights from various professional and amateur events around the United States.  Les will be "announcing" those as well.

"The Roping Show with Tyler Magnus" can be seen every Thursday on RFDTV (channel 9409 on DISH Network and channel 379 on Direct TV)  The weekly show premiers Thursday at 4pm Central time and re-runs at 10pm Central that same date.  The show also airs at 1:30pm Central on Sunday afternoons.  There are a total of three runs per week.

"You know, this is something that I've always wanted to do, get into television voice work, and I sure am enjoying it and learning more and more about it every day, " says Les.  He goes on to say "you wouldn't think that it would be that big of a difference between Radio and Television, but there is.  You actually have to time things out to video, to pictures, and make it sound and LOOK good too.  It can be a challenge at times!"

Although he admits he's just "getting his feet wet" with this first endeavor, he does hope that it can continue to grow and branch out into different things in the future.  "Right now, I'm just having fun learning more about this side of the business," he says.

He also goes on to say, "No, I'm not quitting the music business to do this!  Like I said, this is something I've always wanted to do and it's something I can do in my free time, on the side.  I guess I'm just doing what I always seem to do... just seein' how many irons I can fit in the fire."
